Questions parents ask us

How are tutors vetted?
Every tutor holds an enhanced DBS check and is interviewed by our schools staffing team before they teach. Vetting is continuously monitored — if a clearance lapses, the tutor comes off the platform immediately.
Why are sessions recorded, and who can view them?
Every session is recorded and retained for safeguarding review. Recordings are not public — they exist so that if a concern is ever raised, there is a clear record of what happened in the lesson.
How much does tutoring cost?
Each tutor sets their own hourly rate, shown on their profile. You see the exact price before you request a session, and there is no subscription or joining fee.
How does payment work?
Your payment is authorised when you request a session and charged only when the tutor accepts. If the tutor doesn't confirm, you don't pay.
What if I need to cancel a session?
Cancel 24 hours or more before the session starts and you receive a full refund.
What happens if a tutor can't make a session?
You never pay for a session that doesn't happen. If a tutor cancels, you're refunded in full and can request another time.
Are sessions online only?
Yes — all tutoring is online for now. Sessions run in the browser, so there's nothing to install.
What ages and levels do you cover?
Tutors cover primary through to A-Level, including 11+ preparation, KS3 and GCSE, across subjects from maths and English to sciences and languages.
